President’s Message May 2026

Thank you to everyone who renewed during our Annual Membership Drive!

The MCA grew another 5% this year, after growing 20% last year. MCA is a larger and more successful organization because of the support of Mantuans from all walks of life.

We are eternally grateful for the trust that this community puts in us. Your nominal donation of just $25 helps our group of volunteers do things like plant perennials at our entrances, put on events for all ages, and represent your interests in local government.

Speaking of representing your interests, the second annual Mantua Issues Survey is live for the next week. We’ll present the results at our May membership meeting, scheduled for Thursday, May 28 at 7:00 p.m. in the Mantua Elementary cafeteria (Zoom info is below).

One tidbit from the early results: the demographics of respondents are getting younger. Last year, 30% of households had kids ages 5-17 at home, whereas 42% of respondents have school-age children at home today.

At the same time, concerns of elder households continue to be represented well in survey results, with 52% of households having residents 55+ in 2026 versus 62% in 2025.
